The shift is happening… and most people aren’t prepared for it
As layoffs rise and job security declines, more individuals are shifting from W-2 employment to self-employment—often without proper planning. From an accountant’s perspective, this transition brings major tax, structural, and cash flow challenges.

The shift is happening… and most people aren’t prepared for it.
In the past few months, I’ve watched something significant unfold.
Layoffs. Restructures. “Stable” jobs… no longer feeling so stable.
And in the middle of it all — people are making a move.
From W-2 employee → self-employed.
Some by choice. Some by force.
But here’s what most people don’t see…
👉 What happens after that shift.
From an accountant’s standpoint, I’ve had a front-row seat.
I’ve watched individuals step into self-employment with no tax plan… No structure… No understanding of what they just walked into.
And I’ve also sat with business owners…
On the brink.
Trying to figure out how to stay afloat without laying off their entire team.
I’ve been in rooms where businesses were preparing to let people go…
And instead, we slowed things down.
We had real conversations.
We explored a different path:
What if instead of layoffs… there was a transition?
A shift in how people work. A shift in how businesses operate. A shift in responsibility — on both sides.
And that’s where something clicked for me.
Not from theory…
But from working directly with clients.
I realized I needed to be more proactive in how I was guiding people through this.
So what started as me simply putting together resources for my clients…
Turned into something much bigger.
I built what is now the E2E (Employee → Entrepreneur) Program.
Not from a textbook.
But from:
• real conversations • real businesses under pressure • real people navigating uncertainty
This program isn’t just about starting a business.
It’s about understanding the full transition:
✔ For the individual stepping into self-employment ✔ For the business trying to stay alive ✔ For both sides learning how to operate differently
Because this shift affects both.
And I’m proud to say…
We’ve officially had our first company and individual enroll.
Not just as customers…
But as participants in a new way of thinking.
We are in a changing economy.
Businesses are being pushed. Individuals are being forced to adapt.
And the gap right now…
Is education + guidance.
If you’re in this position — as a business owner or an individual…
Trying to figure out your next move…
Just know:
There is a way to transition strategically.
And you don’t have to navigate it blindly.
